The nightwatch commander was visibly shaken, I knew it was bad. He said the superreactor’s in imminent danger of total collapse. We followed the protocol written on a bathroom wall just outside of Flint, Michigan. It said follow your heart to the end. I was driving a freighter from Utah to Vegas when the sky went black. In perfect formation, I stared in amazement as they blew past. Screeching of metal as I tore through the guardrail and away from the earth I remember the words. Floor your heart to the end. I’ve loved you for ages you beautiful strangers but you make me cry. So give me your pain, drop me off the next station cuz soon I will die. And covered in blood through the snow and the mud I made my way to a bathroom stall up in Flint. And wrote follow your heart to the end.
